Mobility Apps Architect | Responsibilities:

  • Own mobile strategy and pattern documents, update annually.
  • Collaborate with product, risk, and legal to provide policies for mobile applications
  • Execute various Proof of Concept exercises in the mobile space.
  • Be an advocate for, and educate IT and the business partners about, the Mobility Center of Excellence.
  • Manage architecture and design of new mobile applications.
  • Establish architecture and design standards, development frameworks, security standards etc.
  • Facilitate code sharing and reuse among mobile initiatives across all business units. Maintain approved Open Source and other reusable widgets for use across the organization
  • Document and own the process to build and deploy applications to both the public and the private application stores.
  • Establish testing standards across all supported devices.
  • Gather and produce metrics related to code quality, complexity, security vulnerabilities, and usability.

 

Mobility Apps Architect | Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of mobile architecture, including iOS and Android Operating Systems, mobile development patterns, mobile security, mobile build and deployment methodologies, and REST and SOAP services concepts. Java and Objective C knowledge is required; UI design expertise is a plus.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least five, typically seven or more years experience in systems architecture methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experiences.
  • At least one year doing mobile architecture and development on the iOS and Android platforms.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering "bullet-proof" mobile applications that meet real business needs.
