Job Title: iOS Developer
Job location: Bentonville, AR
Employer: RevUnit
Employment Type: Full-Time Job
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and agile minded Senior iOS Developer. An engineer who is interested in every aspect of the iOS SDK and excited by the darkest corners of the Objective-C API. From the nitty-gritty of choosing which accuracy level within CoreLocation fits a specific need to ensuring compliance with the iOS HIG, we’re looking for someone who can understand our clients’ business problems and have the technical chops to ensure that the iOS implementation solves them. Many of our projects are pushing the boundaries of the device capabilities, so a strong understanding of low level factors like impact to battery life and networking performance is critical.
iOS Developer | Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in iOS development or the ability to show us you have the skills regardless of how long you’ve been working professionally.
- Deep understanding of Objective-C and the iOS SDK. You can fact check NSHipster posts and you know what the Friday Q&A is.
- Your expert use of git is a skill you’ve filed alongside typing, Microsoft Word, chewing gum while walking, and breathing.
- A strong belief in the importance of testing. You regularly build your apps with TDD / BDD and you love Continuous Integration.
- Deep knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and AppStore Review Guidelines. You have had apps denied before, and you know how to prevent that in the future.
iOS Developer | Preferred:
- Ruby on Rails experience.
- Love to write about what you do. You have a blog and you keep it up-to-date as you learn new things.
- Experience with mobile web and hybrid frameworks like PhoneGap.
Company Description:
At RevUnit we believe small, tightly integrated teams of talented individuals can solve serious challenges and build superior digital products. In fact, we ask our clients for their toughest and most undefined problems. Whether it’s a consumer-focused cross-platform mobile app or an employee facing web app with deep integration into their existing systems. Many of our clients are startups or emerging companies, and they rely on RevUnit to build the digital products that are their business.
We empower individuals and teams to make their own decisions in an agile development environment and expect our employees to step up to that challenge. Since we ask a lot of our employees, we offer a lot in return:
- Flexible Vacation – If you need it, take it. Just make sure to work out the specifics with your team to ensure coverage.
- Full Benefits – We cover 100% of your Health and Dental.
- Flexible Schedule – Need to go to the dentist? Kid’s school play? Want to just leave early since it’s nice outside? Feel free to do so if your project is on track.
